(Patiala 18 February – Sandeep Kaur Sahiba News Room Bureau) The Board of Directors of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has approved the transfer of 50 acres worth Rs 213.92 crore at Badungar in Patiala to the Punjab Urban Development Authority (PUDA). The AAP government has set a target to raise around Rs 2,800 crore from the sale of unutilised government land owned by several departments, including power, health, transport, MARKFED and Punjab Mandi Board.
The state government needs the money not just for rebuilding infrastructure, but also to fulfil its promise of giving Rs 1,000 per month honorarium to every woman, as the Assembly elections are just a year away.

(ਪਟਿਆਲਾ, 18 ਫਰਵਰੀ – ਸੰਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਸਹਿਬਾ, ਨਿਊਜ਼ ਰੂਮ ਬਿਊਰੋ) ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਟੇਟ ਪਾਵਰ ਕਾਰਪੋਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਲਿਮਿਟਡ (ਪੀ.ਐਸ.ਪੀ.ਸੀ.ਐਲ) ਦੇ ਬੋਰਡ ਆਫ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰਜ ਨੇ 50 ਏਕੜ ਦੀ ਜਮੀਨ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ₹213.92 ਕਰੋੜ ਦੀ ਹੈ, ਬਡੁੰਗਰ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਉਸਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਅਧਿਕਰਣ (ਪੁਡਾ) ਨੂੰ ਟਰਾਂਸਫਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮੰਜੂਰੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਇਹ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਰਾਜ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਣ ਉਪਯੋਗ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਨੇਟਾਈਜ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਵਰ, ਸਿਹਤ, ਟ੍ਰਾਂਸਪੋਰਟ, ਮਾਰਕਫੈਡ ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਮੰਡੀ ਬੋਰਡ ਵਰਗੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ। ਆਪ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਲਗਭਗ ₹2,800 ਕਰੋੜ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ, ਇਸ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਕਰੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪੈਸਾ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਢਾਂਚਾਗਤ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਭਲਾਈ ਦੀਆਂ ਯੋਜਨਾਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਹੀਨੇ ₹1,000 ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਦੀ ਵਾਅਦਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਲ ਬਾਕੀ ਹੈ।
