Dubai Remains Calm and Confident in a Turbulent Region

Resident living in the UAE reaffirms their faith in the country’s leadership and security as daily life continues uninterrupted.

(Patiala 10th March Special and exclusive report by – Navneet Bansal for News Room 7) The city of Dubai continues to stand as a symbol of resilience, peace, and progress even amid challenges in the region. Known for its stability and rapid development, Dubai shines like a beacon of calm in a turbulent environment, demonstrating that unity, strong governance, and determination can overcome even the most difficult circumstances. Despite tensions in parts of the region, life in Dubai remains stable and orderly. The city continues to prioritize progress over fear, reinforcing its reputation as one of the safest and most well-governed global hubs.
News Room 7 spoke with several residents and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and expatriates living in Dubai, who shared their experiences and confirmed that life in the city continues with normalcy and confidence in the authorities.

Seventeen-year-old Aryaman, who has been living in Dubai for the past 15 years, shared his perspective on the situation. “Over the past few days, regional tensions have affected many countries, but I believe I am among the safest people here in Dubai,” he said.
Aryaman also highlighted the strong Indian presence in the UAE. The United Arab Emirates hosts one of the largest Indian expatriate communities in the world. “Dubai has one of the highest concentrations of Indian expatriates living abroad. The government here supports us and encourages us to celebrate cultural festivals such as Diwali and Holi every year,” he added.
He further explained that authorities have been transparent and reassuring about the situation.
“The leaders of the UAE have constantly reassured citizens and residents that the loud noises heard recently were interceptions of incoming missiles and drones, and that there is nothing to worry about. The government acts very quickly. The sites targeted by these drones were brought under control rapidly and operations resumed soon after, with all damage contained.”
According to Aryaman, there were also reports of disruptions affecting a small section of Dubai International Airport, leading to flight cancellations and passengers temporarily stranded at the airport. “Authorities responded immediately, even re-issuing visas on the spot for affected passengers to ensure nobody was left out,” he said.
There is no real war-like situation in the UAE. Our government keeps us informed and ensures our safety both physically and mentally.

Another resident, Joohi Shrivastava, an Indian professional who has been living in Dubai for the past seven years, spoke about how the UAE has contributed significantly to her personal and professional development. “The UAE has played a very important role in shaping my career, personality, and professional growth, giving me opportunities to develop both personally and professionally,” she said confidently. She expressed gratitude for the country’s leadership, particularly His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
Their leadership consistently reassures residents that our safety and well-being remain a top priority. Their guidance gives us confidence that everything will remain stable and under control.

Another expatriate resident, Antale Maasin, a Filipino who has lived in Dubai for 16 years, also shared her experience. “Life in Dubai continues to remain stable and normal. We are all safe and following the precautions and guidance given by the authorities,” she said. She recalled the moment she first heard a loud blast. “Actually, when I first heard that very loud blast, I was terrified. I was literally trembling. But I reminded myself how the UAE Government takes care of its citizens, residents, and even visitors. That thought helped me stay calm because I know the leaders and rulers of the UAE will do everything in their power to keep everyone safe here.”
Praising the leadership, she added: “I sincerely thank His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Because of their leadership, we all feel safe here.

Aryaman concluded his remarks: “Over the past few days, I’ve seen some reports about escape routes from Dubai through Muscat or Saudi Arabia. But interestingly, many of my friends who were on vacation abroad are actually using those routes to come back to Dubai, because they believe the UAE is the safest place to be.
He added: “His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nayan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum are the best leaders we could ask for. The best thing to do is to trust the Government, follow the rules, avoid panic, and stay safe.
