Patiala Foundation Observes National Road Safety Month with Extensive Awareness & Training Initiatives

(January 21st, Jaswinder Julka Beauru Chief ) As part of National Road Safety Month, Patiala Foundation successfully conducted a First Responder Programme and First Aid Training at Thapar Institute on 20th January 2026 under their Human Ambulance Programme. The training workshop divided into two parts, equips the participants with essential life-saving skills, basic trauma care knowledge, and the confidence to respond effectively during road accidents and medical emergencies.The first component of Basic Life Support Training Session was conducted by the Experts from Manipal Hospitals led by Dr. Jagdeep Singh (Emergency and Critical Care Head) creates an impactful training system for the First Responders and teaches them to judiciously utilise the Golden Hour. The second component under the Human Ambulance consisted of Training on First Aid, was conducted by Kaka Ram Verma, who trained the participants about the first aid procedures which every individual should be aware about. So far under this program Patiala Foundation has trained 435 people. The event was attended by Mr. Puneet Singh Chahal, DSP (T) who applauded the efforts of Patiala Foundation for organising such meaning workshops which is a life skill which can save valuable lives along with Ms. Manpreet Kaur, ARTO.The event became a reality because of the efforts of Ms Meenakshi Rana, Dean Student’s Affair and Dr. Sonam Dullat, Senior Manager, TICC, Thapar Institute who lead a team of dedicated volunteers from TICC and other enthusiast participants. Commenting upon the conduct of the workshop, Ravee Singh Ahluwalia, CEO Patiala Foundation said, I am pleased to note the successful conduct of the Basic Life Support Workshop for the students of Thapar University. Equipping young adults with life-saving skills such as cardiopulmonary. Ahluwalia said Road safety is not just about rules, it is about responsibility and compassion. Through awareness, training, and community participation. We aim to create safer roads and empower citizens to save lives.The team of Patiala Foundation, along with its dedicated volunteers Aditya Jasrotia and Kawal preet Singh and Members, Ms Abhinandan Bassi, Ms Nishu Gupta and Mr. Raval deep Sigh have been working tirelessly on the ground to make roads safer, reinforcing the message that road safety is a shared responsibility.
