The team showed strong batting depth, disciplined bowling and the ability to handle pressure in crucial matches. India started their journey with dominant performances in the group stage, winning their matches comfortably and building early momentum. The team continued their positive run in the Super 8 round, where they faced tougher competition. Their only setback came against the South Africa national cricket team, but India quickly recovered with convincing victories in the following matches to secure a semifinal berth.
The semifinal against the England cricket team at the historic Wankhede Stadium turned out to be one of the most thrilling matches of the tournament. India posted a massive total with explosive batting performances, led by Sanju Samson and supported by contributions from the middle order. England responded strongly with an aggressive chase, but India’s bowlers held their nerve in the final overs.

Several Indian players have played key roles during the tournament. Ishan Kishan, Shivam dube and Suryakumar Yadav have been among the leading run scorers, while Samson’s match-winning knocks have strengthened India’s batting lineup. The bowling attack, led by Bumrah and supported by Axar Patel, has also delivered in important moments.
India will now face the New Zealand national cricket team in the final on 8 March at Ahmedabad, with the team standing just one victory away from lifting the T20 World Cup trophy and adding another historic chapter to Indian cricket.
