Spectacular Beating Retreat 2026 (Patiala 29 January Navneet Bansal) The grand and dignified conclusion of the 77th Republic Day celebrations was marked by the spectacular Beating Retreat Ceremony held at the historic Vijay Chowk today New Delhi. Steeped in military tradition and national pride the ceremony showcased India’s rich heritage, disciplined armed forces and enduring patriotic spirit. As dusk descended over Raisina Hill. The solemn strains of military bands filled the air creating a mesmerizing atmosphere. The national flag fluttered proudly while the ceremonial retreat of troops symbolized the formal closing of the Republic Day festivities.The event was graced by the august presence of the Hon’ble President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi along with senior military officers, dignitaries, and distinguished guests. Bands from the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force delivered an impressive musical performance blending time honoured martial tunes with soulful patriotic melodies. Iconic compositions such as “Kadam Se Kadam Badhaye Ja,” “Vijay Bharat,” and other stirring pieces.
A special highlight of the evening was the synchronized coordination of musicians. whose precision and harmony reflected the professionalism and excellence of the Armed Forces. The beautifully illuminated North and South Block buildings provided a majestic backdrop enhancing the visual grandeur of the ceremony.
