- Indian Cricketer Rinku Singh’s Father Passes Away After Cancer Battle
(Aligarh / Greater Noida Feb 27 – Navneet Bansal News Room7) Indian cricket team’s middle-order batter Rinku Singh suffered a personal loss on Friday as his father, Khan chand Singh, passed away following a prolonged illness. He had been battling stage-4 liver cancer and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Greater Noida.
According to hospital officials, his condition had deteriorated in recent days and he was placed on ventilator support before breathing his last early Friday morning.
The tragic news comes during the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, where Rinku Singh was part of the Indian squad. The cricketer had earlier rushed home to be with his ailing father and has again left the team camp to attend the last rites in Aligarh.

(ਅਲੀਗੜ੍ਹ / ਗ੍ਰੇਟਰ ਨੋਇਡਾ 27 ਫਰਵਰੀ – ਨਵਨੀਤ ਬੰਸਲ ਨਿਊਜ਼ ਰੂਮ 7) ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਟੀਮ ਦੇ ਮਿਡਲ ਆਰਡਰ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ ਰਿੰਕੂ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਜ ਉਸ ਵੇਲ਼ੇ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਸਦਮਾ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਖਾਂਨ ਚੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਲੰਬੀ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦਿਹਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਸਟੇਜ-4 ਲੀਵਰ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਨਾਲ ਪੀੜਤ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਗ੍ਰੇਟਰ ਨੋਇਡਾ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਲਾਜ ਅਧੀਨ ਸਨ। ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੈਂਟੀਲੇਟਰ ‘ਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਅੱਜ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖ਼ਰੀ ਸਾਹ ਲਿਆ।
ਇਹ ਦੁੱਖਦਾਈ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਆਈ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਆਈ.ਸੀ. ਸੀ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਟੀ-20 ਵਰਲਡ ਕੱਪ 2026 ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਰਿੰਕੂ ਸਿੰਘ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਟੀਮ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਸਨ। ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟਰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਘਰ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਆਖ਼ਰੀ ਸੰਸਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਟੀਮ ਕੈਂਪ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਅਲੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਰਵਾਨਾ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
